Patek Philippe Chronograph 5170G

Patek Philippe Chronograph 5170G

£55,750.00

“This is the first time I’ve had the pleasure of encountering a 5170G. Quite simply at the absolute forefront of complicated chronographs, it doesn’t get more tasteful than this.” Nick Baranga, Founder

In 2010, the 5170G replaced the 5070 as Patek’s flagship chronograph, reasserting the legendary brand’s leadership in manually-wound chronographs - “classic architecture for men,” in their words. Originally introduced exclusively in yellow gold, this model in white gold with black dial is both the newest and rarest of the collection. It features a more three-dimensional dial than its predecessors, and removes the old pulsation scale for increased legibility and to accommodate the gorgeous Breguet numerals. Despite chronographs’ sporty tendencies, the 5170G is elegant, with a trimmed-down 39.4mm case and slim 10.9mm case profile for a “subtle, vintage allure,” to quote Patek once more. Visible through the sapphire display caseback is Patek’s very first in-house manually-wound chronograph movement, bearing the “Patek Seal”, considered to be a higher standard than the Geneva seal. The watch is completed with a sumptuous black alligator leather strap with 18k white gold Calatrava Cross deployant clasp. The height of sophistication.
