At 39mm, the watch is sized according to Genta’s original dimensions, rooting the watch in history, and its satin-brushed case and bracelet are crafted from a sumptuous 18k pink gold, Audemars Piguet’s patented private blend, often considered by connoisseurs to be the most attractive rose gold in the world. The subtle grey dial is cut using a 100-year-old pantograph, a technique unique to Audemars Piguet. This ensures different tones depending on angle, in keeping with its immaculate octagonal case and integrated bracelet, unrivalled in the way they play with light. The rose gold hour markers make for a sophisticated colour scheme, and the double hash at 12 o’clock returns the Royal Oak to its 1972 heritage.
