The surging demand for Royal Oak models as a whole is almost out of control, with prices worldwide going quite crazy and showing no sign of slowing down. The exclusivity of Audemars Piguet and particularly the Royal Oak references themselves has finally been realised by the watch-buying public, and this has echoed in both demand and value. With the 41mm Royal Oak (ref. 15500ST) being both at a much higher price point, and arguably “too big” for many wrists, we have seen a shift in demand to the smaller, and very possibly better balanced 37mm 15450ST seen here. Featuring all the favoured qualities of the Royal Oak in that octagonal case design, "Grande Tapisserie" pattern dial and simply superb bracelet with AP folding clasp, the reference is at an extremely comfortable 37mm which sits somewhat between a “smaller wearing watch” and the generic 40mm watches we see with most sports watches these days. Yet, at just 9.8mm thick and water resistant to 50m, this Royal Oak is not just a great value offering, but also an extremely wearable watch, especially given the fact that the bracelets on these watches are most definitely the most comfortable to wear in the industry. Housing a self-winding and AP in-hour calibre movement within, and further offering the wearer a 60-hour power reserve, we can only envisage popularity for this reference increasing as time goes on.

Condition Report:

Just a few weeks old, this watch comes to us in completely unworn condition and even retains part of its plastic protective case shield, which we very rarely see with these Royal Oak’s. Complete with its entirety of Audemars Piguet booklets and accessories, the watch is under manufacturer’s extended warranty until 2026.
