Launched in 2021, the Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph here was a somewhat break-through reference from the brand, being the first regular-production Offshore model to include an integrated in-house Audemars Piguet chronograph calibre within. At 43mm in case diameter and at 14.4mm thick, there is no denying that this is a larger-wearing watch. However, the way in which Audemars Piguet have shaped the underside of the case and integrated the soft yet durable rubber strap to the watch make it a superb wearer, even on smaller wrists. Furthermore, when inspecting the case and bracelet design in further detail, it allows you to see the craftsmanship that has gone into the watch, such as a the highly-polished bevelled lugs, which in fact continue through to a bevel alongside each side of the rubber strap. New to the model, the watch features an impressive quick-release strap system (through two buttons on the underside of the case/bracelet fit), allowing the wearer to mix it up with an array of strap options, in which even the clasp itself can also be quickly-removed to swap in an alternative strap. Looking back at the movement mentioned earlier, the watch offers a wide array of offerings to the wearer in its stop-seconds time setting, quick-set date, and importantly the fly-back chronograph which works seamlessly through the large ceramic pushers on the right-hand side of the case. The combination of stainless steel and ceramic is not only beautiful, but serves a purpose by being hugely durable. The dial on the watch here is simply gorgeous, and ties in the entire design together, in which its “Méga Tapisserie” pattern showcases a smoked finish, from a light brown in the centre to very dark at the edges. Boasting 100m’s worth of water resistance and a 70-hour power reserve, the watch really is fit for purpose and one that deserves to be worn on a daily basis in all occasions.

Condition Report:

Completely unworn (apart from for photographic purposes) and coming to us as a complete set with all of its accompanying accessories, including its additional black rubber interchangeable strap, the watch is like-new and remains under the brand’s international extended warranty until 2027.
