Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph
Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph
“One of the highlights of my career to date, I’m proud to be able to bring to market this magnificent example of the reference 3970. A watch fit for the most sophisticated collector.” Nick Baranga, Founder
This platinum perpetual calendar from Patek Philippe is considered one of the brand’s last great designs. As collectors’ interest soars, the days of finding a 3970 at an affordable price point may soon be over. The ultimate successor to the legendary reference 2499, this final 2004 model evokes the evolution of the historic watchmaking company. Thierry Stern himself declared 36mm to be the ideal size for a perpetual calendar, and the perfectly balanced glossy black dial features the hours, minutes, chronograph, day, date, month, moonphase, day/night indicator, and a leap year indicator, only requiring adjustment once a century. Set with 10 brilliant-cut diamonds and a baguette-cut marker at 12 o’clock, the 3970 is pure Patek Philippe, and sits beautifully on the wrist with a commanding presence. An opportunity to own an important piece of Patek history.
