Rolex GMT-Master II "Stick Dial"
Rolex GMT-Master II "Stick Dial"
Manufactured between 1989 and 2007, the Ref. 16710 GMT-Master was produced in a number of variants and luminous materials, as the company shifted from tritium through to Super-LumiNova. However, this dial variant has become known within the Rolex community, simply labelled the “Stick Dial.” Nicknamed due to the form in which the “II” of “GMT-Master II” is written, the Roman numerals used are not crossed at the top and bottom, thus being reminiscent of two straight sticks. Widely considered as a rarity from this reference, it is believed that fewer than 10% of 16710s display this dial, making them extremely sought after by collectors worldwide and certainly one for the future.
