The Oyster Perpetual can trace its roots to 1926, when Rolex released the first “Oyster” (waterproof) watch. Almost a century later, this line is ever-present in the catalogue of the world’s most famous watchmaking company, and 2020 witnessed the release of an explosive new range of 41mm pieces with bold, modern dial colours. Surprisingly complex, the forging of this model’s bright green dial requires six layers of lacquering, followed by varnishing and polishing to bring out the full brilliance and depth of the colour. The white hour indexes make for supreme legibility, and double hash markers at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock have been added for a beautifully balanced composition. In Rolex’s patented Oystersteel, an alloy commonly used in high-technology and aeronautics, the watch’s case and bracelet are resistant to corrosion, as well as being stunningly finished and exceptionally robust. Fitted with a new-generation movement, the powerhouse cal.3230, in Rolex’s words, is where “craftsmanship rhymes with high technology.” 

 Condition Report 

In lightly-worn condition, the watch comes complete with its box, Rolex Guarantee Card, leather guarantee card holder, booklets, bezel protector and both swing tags, and remains under Rolex’s international warranty until 2026.
