Cartier Cloche de Cartier
Cartier Cloche de Cartier
“The undeniable magic of this masterpiece's unconventional and unique design captivates collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world." Nick Baranga, Founder
The Cartier Cloche first appeared in 1917, and is one of the brand’s famous non-standard, unique designs. Named for its bell-shaped case, the watch’s defining feature is its flat side contrasting with the curved crown side, allowing the watch to double as a table clock. As it passes its 100 year anniversary, this legendary timepiece is undergoing a renaissance, both technically and in the eyes of watch connoisseurs. Whilst the design is quintessentially Cartier, its 37.15mm by 28.75mm case size makes this the largest Cloche to date, and brings the timepiece into the 21st century. Its substantial presence on the wrist is complemented by stylish, traditional touches - the pairing of 18k rose gold with a subtle grey dial, the instantly-recognisable roman numerals, the blue sword-shaped hands, and of course the iconic blue sapphire cabochon in the crown. Cartier’s unparalleled attention to detail sees the dial rotated 90 degrees, ensuring legibility when placed flat side down, this side being the only unpolished part of the case. An unquestionable classic from Cartier.
