The World Time complication was created by Louis Cottier in 1931, and it didn’t take long for Patek Philippe to commission their first two references, leading the way once again in horology’s most iconic complications. Released in 2022, the 5935A is the very first edition of the World Time in stainless steel, adding a sporty dynamic to a classic wristwatch. Designed to show the time in all 24 time zones, the watch’s hour and minute hands are coordinated with an outer chapter ring displaying 24 reference cities, with the pusher shifting the ring one hour at a time. A rotating 24-hour inner chapter ring turns once a day, showing the time in the cities other than the wearer’s. The opaline dial, described by Patek Philippe as rose gilt with a carbon motif and charcoal grey accents, is nuanced, textured and sophisticated, as well as being extremely legible. The Chronograph complication has been beautifully positioned by Patek, and only adds to the gorgeous complexity of the dial. Visible through the sapphire display caseback is the legendary CH 28‑520 HU movement - its first time housed in steel - capable of powering both a traditional world timer and a 30-minute flyback chronograph. Impeccable taste.

Condition Report

In lightly-worn condition, the watch comes complete with its original box, certificate, booklets, swing tag and spare grained taupe leather strap, and remains under Patek Philippe’s international warranty until 2024.
