Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar
Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar
“The gold, cream and black colouring, the gorgeously balanced dial - this is the height of sophistication and historical class.” Nick Baranga, Founder
Patek Philippe was the first to create a perpetual calendar wristwatch in 1925, and 2006 saw the introduction of the reference 5140, taking the place of the beloved 3940 in the evolutionary cycle of the brand’s famous history with grand complications. In an 18k yellow gold Calatrava case with beautifully scalloped lugs, this particular piece is the absolute epitome of a Patek perpetual, at 37mm with a slim, stylish profile and with the quintessential colour scheme of an ivory and cream-dial with blue moonphase, housed in yellow gold. The highly legible watch face, with 18k yellow gold hour markers, features the hours, minutes, day, date, month, moonphase and a leap year indicator, only requiring adjustment once a century. The watch’s ultra-thin mechanical self-winding movement, the immaculately crafted cal.240Q, is visible through the sapphire display case back. Completing the timeless aesthetic is Patek’s black leather strap with yellow gold deployant clasp. Incredible heritage meets unbeatable, unquestionable taste.
