When Audemars Piguet announced this 100-piece Limited Edition 38mm Royal Oak Chronograph, as expected, the watch was almost instantly sold out around the world. Seldom seen, and rarely even known about by many, the 2020 novelty gives the smaller-in-size chronograph an entirely new aesthetic thanks to its extra special 18ct white gold case and bracelet (giving the watch a beautiful weight), as well as its show-stopping dial. The ice blue “Grande Tapisserie” dial is quite possibly one of the best-looking dials we’ve ever laid our eyes on, and when separated by darker blue shades around the sub dials and circumference of the dial itself, makes the watch extremely legible. Combining watch-making excellence with aesthetic beauty is something that all major watch brands are attempting to achieve at the moment, and little are doing it better than Audemars Piguet in recent years. With demand for general production pieces going through the roof, the Limited Edition’s such as the wristwatch in question do not become available on the pre-owned market very often, due to the brand’s internal allocation policies to the most VIP of clients. Condition Report:

In exceptional overall condition, this Limited Edition Royal Oak has only been worn a handful of times. The case and bracelet remain in like-new condition, and there exists just the smallest mark on the outer edge of the highly-polished bezel at the 9 o’clock position. Apart from that, the watch is immaculate, and comes entirely complete with its full array of Audemars Piguet accessories, including its beautiful box, and remains under the brand’s international warranty until 2025.
