There are some new watch releases which fly a little under the radar, and with the rate and quality of Audemars Piguet’s releases over the past couple of years, it can be easy to overlook a new watch. However, being the first time we’ve had the pleasure of seeing this watch in the flesh, it’s safe to say that it’s an absolute winner. Albeit a relatively new introduction, this watch is exactly like all other new Royal Oak Offshore’s in 42mm, with its ceramic pushers and matching crown. Nicknamed “Havana” due to the gorgeous brown “Méga Tapisserie” dial with navy blue subdials and dial surround, the watch has a unique lustre to it and one that just works. Depending on the light the watch is in, the dial gives off an array of differing tones, from a warm, subtle dark brown right all the way to a tropical-like brown in the right light, reminiscent of a Havana Cigar. Its iconic case shape, crafted in stainless steel is remarkably wearable, even on those with smaller wrists who traditionally like watches under 40mm. The curvature in the alligator leather strap hugs the wrist, and at only 14.5mm thick and being waterproof to 100m, the watch remains very wearable for almost any occasion.

Condition Report:

Having been worn just a few times, and showcasing some very minor micro-scratching across some of the highly polished areas of the watch, the watch as a whole is in extremely good overall condition. It’s hand-stitched, “large square scale” alligator leather strap remains in like-new condition. Retailed in 2019, and complete with its entirety of Audemars Piguet accessories and it’s lovely polished green wood box, the watch remains under manufacturer’s warranty until 2024.
