Patek Philippe Calatrava
Patek Philippe Calatrava
One of the most classic watch designs of all time, the Patek Philippe Calatrava was introduced in 1932 with the reference 96, and has remained the epitome of elegance ever since, with innovations layered on top of classic, beautifully proportioned features. This ref.5127R-001 was introduced in 2005 and discontinued just seven years later, making it a rare model to come across. Its 37mm 18k rose gold case blends sumptuously with an ivory dial and chocolate brown crocodile leather strap for a warm, alluring aesthetic. The applied, case-matching rose gold bullet-style hour markers and three-dimensional “dauphine” rose gold hands make for a superbly balanced dial, while the sapphire display caseback shows off the self-winding cal.315/290 movement, the very same that powers the 5711 Nautilus. Displaying hours, minutes, seconds and the date, and with 30m of water resistance and a 48hr power reserve, the 5127R proves Patek to be, once again, the masters of creating perfection.
