Richard Mille RM11 “Le Mans Classic”
Richard Mille RM11 “Le Mans Classic”
A 2018 release from Richard Mille to celebrate the annual tradition of the Le Mans Classic race with this RM11-03 model. One of the very first models produced with white ceramic, this flyback chronograph is housed in a three-part tonneau case (49.94 mm x 44.50 mm x 16.15 mm) and adorned with green detailing evocative of the luxury British sports car and supercar creator McLaren Automotive while keeping in line with the Le Mans green and white design.
Several details within the watch display its appreciation to the world of sport car racing, the groove of the pushers evokes the look of vintage pedals, the precision-machined crown, the Le Mans Logo at 12 o’clock position, and the number 16 - the start time of the endurance race - highlighted in red on the 24-hour counter at 6 o’clock. The dial also reveals an oversized date display at 12 o’clock, joined with a month display located between 4 and 5 o’clock. The rear side of the watch features a see-through sapphire crystal, allowing the wearer to admire a satin-brushed PVD-coated lower bridge providing a contrasting backdrop for the double barrel system and the variable-geometry rotor crafted from titanium. The movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph, ensuring at least 55 hours of power reserve. The rotor is equipped with a mechanism that allows it to be adjusted to suit the wearer's activities, so it can never be over-wound.
