Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph
Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph
“The 5990 is one of the greatest Nautilus models ever produced. It’s a shame to see the stainless-steel model retired now, but it will forever be a favourite of mine.” Nick Baranga, Founder
The legendary Patek Philippe Nautilus, famously inspired by the shape of a ship’s porthole, first set sail in 1976, and the still-modern Gerald Genta design is at its technical and aesthetic pinnacle in this new Travel Time Chronograph edition. Officially discontinued by Patek Philippe in January 2022, the 5990/1A-001’s value will only go in one direction, as this supremely functional and incredibly slick Nautilus features modern design, solid construction, unquestionable quality and, importantly, utility. The 40.5mm case retains the hallmark styling of Patek Philippe, and the brushed bezel contrasts beautifully with the polished case sides and pushers. The dark-to-light gradation of the black brass dial changes the watch’s colour according to light and angle, and the superlative movement is shown off through the sapphire case back. This 2021 model is from an extremely short production run with the beautiful button-operated butterfly clasp. A commanding watch for all occasions.
Condition Report:
Unworn, the watch retains its original factory stickers on its clasp. It comes complete with its lacquered wood box, leather folder, booklets, stylus, and its Certificate of Origin, and remains under Patek Philippe’s international warranty until 2023.
